The original Campingaz tank support chassis is an official structural spare part, specially designed for the upper frame of large 4 Series Woody gas barbecues (L, LX, etc. configurations). This central part serves as an essential intermediate frame: it ensures a rigid connection between the large cooking tank (4-burner firebox) and the four uprights (wooden legs) that make up the appliance's trolley.
Subject to high thermal stress due to its immediate proximity to the tank and exposed to hot grease splashes, acidic marinades, and outdoor humidity, the original chassis may eventually deform or corrode after several seasons. Its replacement is essential to restore the barbecue's perfect squareness, mechanical rigidity, and ensure the overall safety of the installation during use.
Main features
-
Certified original part: Designed by Campingaz according to the exact factory tolerances and dimensions of the 4 Series Woody range, ensuring perfect screw alignment without any structural modification.
-
High mechanical resistance: Made of thick steel, treated to support the significant weight of the large 4-burner tank, lid, and cast iron grates/griddles.
-
Thermal and corrosion protection: Lacquered surface coating designed to withstand high operating temperatures and act as a barrier against outdoor oxidation.
Compatible appliances
This part is specifically sized for 4-burner models with a wood/metal bi-material trolley, including:
-
Campingaz 4 Series Woody L
-
Campingaz 4 Series Woody LX
-
Warning: This part has a specific width for the 4 Series model tank. It is not compatible with the 3 Series range (narrower), nor with the Classic versions whose anchoring points on the all-metal trolley differ.
Assembly tips
Essential safety instructions: Before disassembling, close the gas cylinder, disconnect the regulator, and remove the cylinder from the trolley. Carefully read your appliance's manual, let it cool completely, and empty the tank of all its internal accessories (grates, griddle, burner tents).
Installation procedure: Replacing the chassis involves complete removal of the cooking tank.
-
Carefully note the location of each screw during disassembly (using a new hardware kit is recommended if your original hardware is too corroded).
-
Position the new chassis on the wooden uprights of the trolley and hand-tighten the screws to balance the structure.
-
Gently place the tank back on its support, being careful not to pinch the gas lines or the wires of the piezoelectric ignition system.
-
Progressively and crisscross tighten all screws to ensure the perfect geometry and stability of your barbecue.
